Peter Moren Peter Moren & guitarist Tobias Froberg of Sweedish Indie megastars band, PETER BJORN & JOHN (currently on a worldwide concert tour) recorded a live segment for NPR's "World Cafe".
Tom Weir recorded & mixed the show.

Esteemed drummer, Josh Freese (Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails, Sting) with longtime SCS clients, THE CARMELITE SISTERS, who are recording and mixing their 5th album at SCS!

 

 

Wayne Orin Multi-hit songwriter, Wayne Rodriguez was in Studio A for a writing session with singer/songwriter guitar virtuoso Orianthi.

 

 

APRIL 2008
Ziggy Marley Multiple Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Ziggy Marley took a break while at our studios while working on an upcoming project to take a picture with (L-R) engineer Marc Moreau, Tom Weir, (Ziggy Marley), songwriter Danielle Brisebois, and singer/songwriter Deborah Kee.

A true legend of rock-n-roll, Phil Everly, worked at Studio City Sound during March.
He is pictured here with SCS’s Tom Weir (left) and legendary songwriter and composer John Durrill (right).

Also during March Studio City Sound also welcomed Matt Scannell of Vertical Horizon, singer/songwriter and guitar virtuoso Orianthi who worked with international hit-maker producers/songwriters Andreas Carlsson and Kalle, and welcomed the team that worked on the film score for a Lifetime Network movie called "Memory Keepers Daughter". We were also happy to welcome The Dizzy Riders, EW, The Carmelite Sisters, and actor William Daniels,

Michael Damian Michael Damian During February we also enjoyed working with Michael Damian (who recorded a song that aired on Young & The Restless March 26th), Jupiter Rising with Chime Entertainment’s Marc Tanner, Loomis Fall (of MTV's "Jackass"), Jack Allocco (music coordinator of the Young & The Restless), Heather Youmans, and Tommy Osuna (mixing the work of the late Buddy Miles).

Toots and the Maytals
Congratulations to Studio City Sound owner Tom Weir for his Grammy nomination as mixer of the new Toots & the Maytals album “Light Your Light!”

We were thrilled to welcome Neal Peart (pictured with Tom Weir) to our studios! Neal is a true legend of rock as a lyricist and drummer of Rush, and laid down some amazing tracks for Vertical Horizon's current project.

Steve Valenzuela Mo'NiqueMo'Nique (pictured left with SCS engineer Steven Valenzuela) kept everyone laughing during her recent visit for an ISDN live radio interview on Public Radio International.
Studio City Sound
also welcomed American Music Club for an exciting live ISDN interview and live recording for NPR. Max Morgan continues to put the finishing touches on his upcoming release. We also are working with Miles To Nowhere, Crystal Day, Ben Conga, and the Supa Lowery Brothers.
