OUR HISTORY

Studio City Sound is a full service recording studio,
owned and operated by Grammy award winning mixer Tom Weir.

Located at the former Fidelity Studios, which hosted legendary artists such as
Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, The Ramones, Joan Jett, and the Steve Miller Band,
SCS has three fully equipped studios, with a spacious tracking room, ISO rooms,
and a world class blend of state-of-the-art and vintage gear.

Our dedicated staff of engineers offers
recording, mixing, mastering, DOLBY ATMOS MIXING, post-production,
ISDN, transfers, mobile recording, live sound, video production AND MORE.

Tom Weir is a Grammy Award winning engineer who has worked with notable artists including
ROD STEWART, No Doubt, Keith Richards, Willie Nelson, Chicago and Toots and the Maytalls.

He got his start in the music business as a drummer in his family band “The Weirz”,
with whom he performed and recorded for 15 years.

He became interested in becoming a recording engineer after he and his brothers
purchased professional recording gear in the 1980s.

TOM HAS BEEN MAKING MUSIC FROM STUDIO CITY SOUND FOR OVER 20 YEARS.
